11th Grade: EVALUATE

In our work together, we will:

• Assess your strengths, areas in need of improvement, goals, and college options

• Complete rigorous coursework that aligns with your interests and devise a strategy for asking for help when needed

• Register for the SAT or ACT at least twice

• Demonstrate sustained and deep commitment, impact, and leadership to one or two activities

• Consider what you want in a college: continue to visit, attend college fairs, and enroll in virtual info sessions

• Begin to build a balanced college list — this will change, but it’s a great time to start

• Spring and summer: WRITING! The activities list, college résumé, honors section, additional info, CommonApp personal statement (CAPS), and supplements!

• Research open scholarships and college-specific merit scholarships; apply when appropriate

• Find and apply to meaningful summer opportunities that relate to your interests

• Set goals for 12th grade!
